Evolution of an Arch

When we bought the house, this was the arch. We didn't know it existed.

We found it with a sledgehammer. Framed in. Covered in sheetrock, panelboard, and an insane amount of fungus.

 We cleaned it

Cleaned it more.

 Tore down everything around it.

Built it all back up.

Tried to ignore it as long as possible...

And finally gave in and finished it. I built a door jamb to match the arch. Lopsided.

Worked out the correct casing via vote on Instagram.

And got it done.

The next and last picture will be the arch painted and done!!!!
